Emergency Service and NHS Discounts could be simpler…..
Posted on March 10th, 2010 No commentsThe Blue Light Card is expanding its Emergency Serive and NHS discounts. The Blue Light Card has recently expanded the companies it offers on its scheme to include names such as Mercedes, Jaguar, Old Orleans and many more. The Blue Light Card is still free for companies to sign up and offer Emergency Service and NHSdiscounts and savings and it is urging more companies to sign up and offer those that work in such demanding roles in our society a reward for their efforts.
The Blue Light Card equally remains free for members of the Emergency Services and NHS to sign up and obtain discounts and special offers. In the next few months Blue Light Card will be improving its service to make it even more accesible for those in the Police, Fire, Ambulance, Royal Lifeboat and NHS to obtain discounts via the Blue Light Card service. We will keep you posted via our newsletter and let you know when the changes will come into play.

A year of high street discounts
Posted on February 9th, 2010 No comments2009 saw the launch of the Blue Light Card High Street Card - providing Emergency Services and NHS discounts on the high street at stores, restaurants and attractions. This ran alongside the online discounts it already provided for the NHS and Emergency Services. 2009 was a good year for Blue Light Card and saw memberships rise to over 10,000 throughout the year. The high street card grew in size with Emergency Services and NHS discounts increasing on both its card and online and with the introduction of cashback in November. So what has 2010 got in store?
2010 is a big year for Blue Light Card and we feel that it is the year to expand our high street card and really work on getting the stores that our members want to provide Emergency Services and NHS discounts. The High Street Card is still our unique aspect and we hope to entice big companies by the fact that we do not charge members and essentially provide free marketing as each company gets their own web page. We feel that our members deserve to be rewarded for what they do in our communities and we do not charge companies in order to encourage companies to give our members the best offers that they can.
We will be driving our member recruitment still and we aim to hit 25,000 members by the end of 2010. We feel that Blue Light Card has many aspects that can really benefit members and we will be looking to encourage members to keep revisiting the website and use it as their first point of call for any purchase they make.
