Blue Light Card has been providing discounts to those in the Fire and Rescue Service since August 2008 from its website www.bluelightcard.co.uk by providing Fire Service online discounts and voucher codes.
The service then in January 2009 extended its offering when it provided the Fire and Rescue Service with high street discounts though its physical Blue Light Card discount card. The Blue Light Card allows Fire and Rescue staff to receive discounts on the high street.
Blue Light Card has expanded the number of companies accepting its high street discount card and now thousands of national and local independent retailers offer a discounts through the Blue Light Card to those that work in the UK's Fire and Rescue Services.
The Blue Light Card app now allows members of the Fire and Rescue Service to get discounts on the go as well as look at discounts from the comfort of their own home. Blue Light Card has a free app for both iPhone and Android so make sure you download it to get quick access to Fire Service discounts.
Blue Light Card's services are in place to give all staff working within Fire Services discounts and it stops any divide between job titles and the discount levels they get. If you are a Firefighter, work for the Fire and Rescue Service in an admin capacity or are an on-call Firefighter, the Blue Light Card is here to offer you Fire Service discounts.
