Terms and conditions for the online account
The terms and conditions below govern your use of the Blue Light Card website. Blue Light Card is operated by Blue Light Card Ltd (Company No. 06581540). When "Blue Light Card" is mentioned below it refers to Blue Light Card Ltd and includes its employees, directors and shareholders.
These terms relate to the use of the website, including online offers, gift cards and other saving options, the use of the Blue Light Card, the process of purchasing it, and other services we may provide. Please read carefully. If you do not agree, do not use this website. By using the website, you agree to be bound by these terms and that you will not hold Blue Light Card or any of its employees, directors or shareholders accountable for information contained (or not contained) on the website and any services it provides.
General terms
- Blue Light Card provides discount codes for companies offering goods and services. Transactions with these companies take place on their external sites, not on the Blue Light Card website. Those companies are responsible for transaction security on purchases you make.
- We may remove any user from the site, freeze their account and revoke membership without prior warning if we believe the member is, or could be, a security risk.
- We may remove any user found to be abusing discount codes or other calls to action and ban them from the website without the member's consent.
- Registered members are responsible for keeping usernames and passwords secure and must take all necessary steps to avoid disclosure to unauthorised users. We may ask members to change their password at any time to protect the account.
- Members must not create multiple accounts or try to change their member ID. If a password is forgotten, use the "forgotten password" link. If this does not work, contact us via the contact area of the website. Multiple accounts will not be approved. Email addresses can be updated in My Account when logged in.
- Members must ensure their information is correct and up to date at all times. If your status changes, update your account or inform us. See our Privacy Notice for information we hold about you.
- Use of this website is reserved for the UK's Emergency Services, NHS and Armed Forces. Eligibility criteria are determined by Blue Light Card Ltd. Members must be aged 16+.
- We may remove any member found to be breaching the eligibility criteria.
- All companies listed on the website may add, amend or withdraw their offer at any time.
- If an offer does not work, please notify us. If you continue with your purchase without the discount, you authorise the transaction with no discount. Any refund of the discount amount is at the company's discretion.
- We display links and codes for companies wishing to offer discounts to members. Offer page information is provided directly by the company, so we cannot be responsible for errors, including non-working offers, outdated links or incorrect text.
- Other ads on the website may be created and submitted by third parties. We do not accept liability for this material or any issues arising from it.
- The website contains links to third-party websites not maintained or controlled by us. While we choose companies carefully, we cannot be liable for material on these sites or any illegal or incorrect information they contain.
- We use cookies to track sales made by members on third-party websites. No personal data is passed to third parties. We use member ID numbers with no relation to personal details. By signing up and agreeing to these terms, you agree that we may place these cookies on your device. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, which exclusively govern the interpretation and effect of the permissions, exclusions, licences and conditions of use above.
- We endeavour to ensure the service is free from defects but are not responsible or liable for consequential errors or omissions.
- All trademarks referred to on this website are acknowledged as the property of their respective owners. Blue Light Card, its directors and employees cannot be liable for any copyright or trademark infringements.
Affiliate networks
We are paid by some retailers featured on our service when a member makes a purchase. When you click through to a retailer, your browser may be redirected via an affiliate network that drops a cookie on your device to track the referral. The retailer then sends us information about your purchase. No personal information such as your name or email address is involved in this process. We do not drop the affiliate network cookie ourselves; we are providing this notice for transparency before you make a transaction.
Physical Blue Light Cards
- Cards are posted to the address provided on application. Once the card leaves our offices, it is handled by Royal Mail and delivered to the address provided. We are not responsible for loss or non-arrival once the card has left our property.
- We cannot refund a purchase for a card that has been posted. A refund will only be provided if we are in possession of the card to be refunded. Refunds are available only on cards returned within 28 days of dispatch.
- Members are responsible for safe keeping of their card. If lost or stolen, inform us. New cards can be purchased for £4.99 (admin fee) for a 2-year card.
- The £4.99 payment is an admin processing fee for us to process the card application. Once paid, it is valid for 12 months while you provide relevant information. After this period, the fee is non-refundable. If, after liaising with our team, a member is not eligible, we will refund in line with our refund policy.
- All members must provide their own ID. We are not responsible for proving a member's eligibility for the service.
- Any ID received by post will be destroyed. Please only send photocopies, not originals.
- Non-arrival of cards must be reported within 90 days. After three months, cards will be classed as lost and a new application will require a £4.99 payment.
- We are not responsible for non-arrival of any post sent to us.
These terms apply when you buy or use a digital shopping card ("Shopping Cards") from Blue Light Card Ltd, a company registered in England whose registered office is at Charnwood Edge Business Park Syston Road, Cossington, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, LE7 4UZ ("Blue Light Card", "we", "us", "our").
By buying or using a Shopping Card, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not buy or use Shopping Cards. We may change these terms at any time, at our discretion.
Shopping Cards
Shopping Cards are subject to availability. We, or a third party, may limit how many you can buy, reject your order, or stop offering certain Shopping Cards at any time, even after you have placed an order. Prices can change without notice, but you will see the current price charged when you order.
You can buy and view Shopping Cards on our website

and through the Blue Light Card app. Most Shopping Cards can be bought for amounts between £10 and £5,000, but some Providers may set their own limits. We may also set reasonable limits on how many Shopping Cards you can buy or how much you can spend on Shopping Cards in a certain time period.
Once you have viewed your Shopping Card, we will have fulfilled our part of the agreement and we will have no further responsibility for the Shopping Card unless required by law.
Limitations
We know Shopping Cards are used for everyday shopping, big purchases or sometimes as gifts for loved ones. That is fine, but there are a few rules:
- Only use Shopping Cards for personal use. You cannot re-sell Shopping Cards or use them for business. Personal use includes gifting. You may purchase Shopping Cards as a gift for others for their personal use.
- You must be over the age of 18 to buy a Shopping Card.
- The Blue Light Card account holder is responsible for all purchases made on their account, even if that purchase was not made by them.
- You cannot use your Shopping Card to buy another Shopping Card. Shopping Cards cannot be reloaded, topped up, resold, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
- Our offers for Shopping Cards can change daily. The price you pay is the price shown when you complete your purchase. If a better offer comes up later, we cannot adjust your order or refund the difference. This does not affect your cancellation rights described below.
Payment
The value of your Shopping Card will be charged to your chosen method of payment. If your payment does not go through, is invalid or otherwise unacceptable, your order may be cancelled. We are not responsible for payment issues. You will need to resolve those with your payment provider.
Providers of Shopping Cards
The Shopping Cards that you purchase from us are redeemable with third party retailers ("Provider"). As well as these terms, each Shopping Card is subject to the Provider's own terms. We will notify you of these terms before you buy the Shopping Card. Providers, and not Blue Light Card, are responsible for how their Shopping Cards work and how you may use them. You should review the Provider terms before purchase.
We are not responsible for any problems caused by the Provider or anything you buy from them using the Shopping Card. This includes:
- If you buy a Shopping Card with a specific item or deal in mind, but the Provider no longer offers it when you want to use the Shopping Card.
- If the Provider goes out of business or stops accepting the Shopping Card for purchases.
- If you do not meet age or other requirements set by the Provider to buy the product or service.
We are not liable for any problems caused by the Provider or their products or services, and we cannot help with refunds or returns from the Provider. If your issue relates to something the Provider has done, or something you bought from the Provider, please contact the Provider directly.
Individual Shopping Card Details
Each Shopping Card may have different expiry dates, rules on use, and terms set by the Provider. You must follow these rules when using the Shopping Card. Please read the Provider's terms before buying a Shopping Card. If you have questions, contact the relevant Provider directly.
Delivery
We aim to deliver your Shopping Card within a few minutes of your order confirmation. Most arrive within 5 minutes. If you have not received your Shopping Card within 24 hours, please contact us at
support.
If there is a delay and you have let us know, we will try to fix it if we can. It may be that the delay is not caused by us, in which case we are not responsible for the delay. We are not liable for any delays unless the Shopping Card arrives after it has expired, or is not as we described it when you bought it. In those cases, we will either give you an alternative Shopping Card or a refund for the Shopping Card.
Redemption
If your Shopping Card cannot be used after delivery and it is not your fault, we will either give you an alternative Shopping Card or a refund for the Shopping Card.
Your Right to Cancel an Order
If you have not viewed your Shopping Card within 14 days of purchase (the "Cooling Off Period"), you can cancel your order without giving a reason. However, if when buying the Shopping Card you choose to receive it before the end of the Cooling Off Period and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel if you view the Shopping Card, then you will lose your right to cancel once the Shopping Card has been viewed.
You can raise a ticket at

to cancel an order. Once cancelled, we will provide you with a refund of the price you paid for the Shopping Card.
Lost or Stolen Shopping Cards
If your Shopping Card is lost before you have used it, let us know as soon as possible. We will try to replace the Shopping Card, but only if the Provider allows it.
We are not responsible if your Shopping Card is lost, stolen, damaged, or used without your permission, unless it is our fault. We also cannot help if you did not receive your Shopping Card because you gave us incorrect or incomplete information, such as your email address.
Irredeemable Shopping Cards
If your Shopping Card does not work because of a technical issue caused by us, such as a broken link to view the Shopping Card, or it is not as we described it when you bought it, we will either give you an alternative Shopping Card or a refund for the Shopping Card.
Issues with Shopping Cards
If your Shopping Card is lost, stolen, damaged, or does not work, or you wish to cancel your order before you have viewed the Shopping Card, please contact us at
support. You will need to tell us why and provide proof of purchase.
To avoid problems, make sure you are using the latest version of your web browser and the Blue Light Card app. Older versions might not work properly and could be less secure. We recommend turning on automatic updates.
- We are not responsible for technical issues outside of our control that stop you from accessing your Shopping Card, including issues caused by your web browser, internet connection or outdated software.
- We are not responsible if you lose access to the Blue Light Card app, your Blue Light Card account, or the benefits of your membership due to your own actions, such as failing to comply with our terms or legal requirements.
Our Cancellation Rights
We may cancel a Shopping Card, or refuse to cancel, refund or exchange a Shopping Card, if we suspect fraud, misconduct or any breach of these terms.

View Your Balance
You can check the balance of your Shopping Card on your Blue Light Card member account on our website, the Blue Light Card app, or by visiting the Provider's website.
Customer Service

If you are having trouble using your Shopping Card with a Provider, please contact the relevant Provider directly using the details in their terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law, and both you and Blue Light Card will only bring legal proceedings in connection with these terms in English courts.
Blue Light Card Rewards Programme

These terms and conditions apply to our Rewards Programme. When you become a member of Blue Light Card, you are automatically enrolled and agree to be unconditionally bound by these terms and any other requirements set out in promotional material relating to the Rewards Programme.

The Rewards Programme rewards members who make 10 or more qualifying transactions in any calendar month (each a Rewards Period) with a breakfast voucher (a Reward). Members may qualify for more than one Reward if they meet the threshold multiple times in the same Rewards Period.

A qualifying transaction occurs when you successfully redeem a Blue Light Card offer while completing a purchase on one of our partners' sites. Certain transactions are not capable of being tracked by us and will not count towards eligibility for a Reward. In-store offers and certain non-affiliate network offers are excluded from the Rewards Programme, including Service Seats / cinema offers. Transactions made outside of the Rewards Period will not count towards that month's qualification.

Rewards and Rewards Periods are decided at our discretion and may vary. We may amend or withdraw the Rewards Programme at any time (including changing Rewards or Rewards Periods) on no less than 30 days' notice via a notification on our websites, without liability.

The Reward may be provided by a third-party supplier. Reward terms and conditions (including exclusions and voucher validity periods) will apply. Rewards are non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered. We may replace any Reward with an alternative of equal or higher value if necessary.

If you qualify for a Reward, we will email you within 5 working days of the end of a Rewards Period containing an electronic voucher to redeem the Reward. Please check the Reward terms and conditions on the voucher for any limitations and the validity period. We cannot extend voucher validity and are not liable for expired vouchers, limitations imposed by third-party voucher suppliers or merchants, or issues with your email account or out-of-date details on our system.

Our decision regarding any aspect of the Rewards Programme is final and binding.

We will collect and use your personal data as necessary to deliver the Rewards Programme. For more information, see our

You will receive communications from us in respect of the Rewards Programme (for example, confirmation that you have qualified for a Reward).

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable (in whole or in part), the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

The Rewards Programme, these terms and any dispute arising under or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Qualifying partners
