Saying thank you on Emergency Services Day

Saying thank you on Emergency Services Day

It\'s Emergency Services Day (9 September). It\'s a special time to show our support for the selfless blue light community working and volunteering to keep us safe and well across the country.

\r\n

At Blue Light Card, we try and do our best to say thank you to NHS, emergency services and social care workers all year round, but today is another great reason to think about why we’re so grateful for your hard work and dedication - 365 days a year.

\r\n

At 9am (the 9th hour of the 9th day of the 9th month) the start of Emergency Services Day is marked, with a commemorative two minutes silence to remember more than 7,500 members of the emergency services who have died during their service.

\r\n

We partner with over 15,000 brands and retailers to support the Blue Light community, offering exclusive deals to say ‘thank you’ to our emergency services. Our partners include local independents and household names, such as Starbucks, Samsung and Dunelm.

\r\n

Tom Dalby, CEO & Co-Founder Blue Light Card, said:

\r\n

“Now more than ever, we are so grateful for our hard-working emergency services, who dedicate themselves to keeping our loved ones safe and well.

\r\n

“Over the past six months in particular, they have shown incredible care and support for our families, friends and local communities together - so today is a perfect opportunity to reflect and say ‘thank you’ for their service.”

\r\n

We are living through unprecedented times, but what does not change is the commitment and dedication shown by our emergency services, NHS and social care workers.

\r\n

We want to take this opportunity to say thank you - to you, the Blue Light community.
