Last month, we relaunched Blue Light Card Tickets into our app, making it easier than ever for members to gain exclusive access to some of the best sporting events, concerts, comedy nights and days out around.

To mark Blue Light Card Tickets being bigger and better than ever, we’ve had a bit of fun delving into the fantastic world of… famous namesakes!

Our national consumer research revealed that a quarter of people (25%) admit star-studded names break the ice instantly, give people something to talk about (29%) and make them more memorable (48%).

And, with famous names popping up throughout the blue light community, from Beyoncés in A&E to Liam & Noel paramedics; real-life Madonnas, Shakiras and Mrs Carters say they’re regularly quizzed about their famous moniker and view it as the ultimate talking point, especially in high-pressure jobs where human connection is vital.

In fact, over half of Brits in our research (56%) say they’d never forget someone's name if it were the same as someone famous.

So, to celebrate our new and improved Blue Light Card Tickets platform, and as a special thank you to some of our hard-working members, we suited, cowboy-booted and treated five iconic competition winners named Mrs Carter from the NHS, military, police and social care sector to an unforgettable night at the Cowboy Carter London show…with one of the UK’s best Beyoncé lookalikes!

When it comes to concerts, 63% of our members say live music is one of the best ways to truly release after a high-stress day and feel joy and connection. Mrs Addy Carter, from Colchester has been a Military Medic for over five years. Speaking on the most rewarding part of her job she said:

“As a medic in the Armed Forces, I get to help people every day and can be deployed overseas to assist with humanitarian aid at a moment’s notice. Being able to support people with injuries - to make them feel safe and cared for - makes me so happy and proud of what I do. Wherever I’m based, I know I’m making a difference. As part of my work, I also see the incredible effort of NHS staff, which really inspires me.

“I’ve had so much fun meeting some other inspiring Mrs Carters from different industries and hearing about what they do. To celebrate the launch of Blue Light Tickets, we got glitz and glammed, wined and dined, and treated like superstars, for a night at the Cowboy Carter Tour. Our five Cowboy Carters were treated like icons and pampered with glam fit for a superstar.

Fuelled with a Pizza Express spread, accommodation thanks to Hotels.com and a goody bag courtesy of Cult Beauty, they were given the denim carpet treatment with a paparazzi-style photocall at the stadium before heading into the concert with VIP seats.
