Shopping Cards Ballot Ts&Cs

  1. Who we are
    1. We are Blue Light Card Ltd, whose registered office address is at Charnwood Edge Business Park, Syston Road, Cossington, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, LE7 4UZ (referred to below as “Blue Light Card”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
  2. The Ballot
    1. These terms and conditions apply to the Shopping Cards Ballot (referred to below as the “Ballot”).
    2. The Ballot is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 years or over who are registered Blue Light Card members, except for our employees and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), their agents or any third party directly associated with administration or promotion of the Ballot.
    3. The Ballot is free to enter. No purchase of any kind is necessary to take part in the Ballot.
    4. To enter the Ballot, you must log into the Blue Light Card website or mobile application, select the Shopping Cards Ballot tile, and then click the blue “Enter ballot” button.
    5. Entries are limited to one (1) per person.
    6. The opening date for entries is 09:00 on 4 June 2026 (the “Opening Date”). The closing date for entries to the Ballot is 22:00 on 14 June 2026 (the “Closing Date”).
    7. Entries submitted before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date shall not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
    8. We will not accept:
      1. responsibility for entries that are corrupted, or not successfully completed or transmitted due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind;
      2. responsibility for any technical interruption, fault or site failure that occurs when entering the Ballot; or
      3. proof of transmission or submission as proof of receipt of entry to the Ballot.
    9. One hundred (100) winners will be chosen by random draw using a computer process on 14 June 2026 ("Draw Date").
  3. The Prize
    1. The winners will each receive a Prize as set out in this clause (a “Prize”). Each of the one hundred (100) winners will receive one (1) randomly allocated £50.00 Shopping Card from the following list:
      1. 16 x £50.00 ASDA Shopping Cards
      2. 16 x £50.00 Deliveroo Shopping Cards
      3. 16 x £50.00 Marks & Spencer Shopping Cards
      4. 16 x £50.00 Morrisons Shopping Cards
      5. 16 x £50.00 Sainsbury’s Shopping Cards
      6. 20 x £50.00 Tesco Shopping Cards
    2. The Prize is subject to third party terms and conditions which you must comply with when using the Prize. Please check the terms and conditions on the Prize carefully for any limitations or validity periods for redemption. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend the validity period of any Prizes and will not be liable for expired Prizes or limitations imposed by a third-party retailer at the point of redemption.
    3. The Prize does not include any expenses incurred by the winners when taking up and/ or using the Prize, including but not limited to travel, parking, food, drink, or accommodation expenses, insurance (if required), and any other expense or cost in excess of the balance of the Shopping Card or any cost that is outside of the scope of the Shopping Card. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the taking up or use of the Prize are the responsibility of the winner.
    4. The Prize winners will be notified by email within 48 hours of the Draw Date.
    5. The Prizes will be sent to the winners by email as soon as is practicable and not later than 30 days after the Closing Date.
    6. Each Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
    7. We reserve the right to replace any Prize with an alternative Prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
    8. Our decision regarding any aspect of the Ballot is final and binding.
  4. General
    1. In entering the Ballot, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim each Prize. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Ballot.
    2. The Ballot is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with any social media platform including Facebook or Instagram.
    3. Neither Facebook, Instagram nor any other social media platform are responsible for any element of the Ballot, and you release them from any liability.
    4. You are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry to the Ballot. We reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a Prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
    5. We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Ballot where it becomes necessary to do so.
    6. We, our agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the winner taking up or using a Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of us, our agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your legal rights are not affected.
    7. The Ballot will be governed by English law and entrants to the Ballot submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  5. Data Protection and Publicity
    1. We will process any personal information we receive in connection with the Ballot in accordance with our Privacy Notice which is available here.
    2. We must publish or otherwise make available information that indicates that a valid Ballot took place. To comply with this obligation, we may publish on our website the surname and county of the Prize winner(s) where applicable. If you object to any or all of your details being published or made available, please contact us at dpgovernance@bluelightcard.co.uk. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority or any other regulator upon request.
    3. A winner may be asked to take part in publicity related to the Ballot. Such publicity might (upon request) include use of the entrant’s social media handle. Participation is at the winner’s discretion.
