Planning a holiday over half term?

Whether it’s the slowly lowering prices as we say goodbye to the summer months or just needing something nice to look forward to, we know that a fair number of you may be considering some well-deserved time away.

We asked some of our members what their plans were to see if we could help you feel that little bit more inspired… and oh boy did you deliver!

Want a cheeky weekend away?

From Nottingham to Norwich or Torquay to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, our country boasts a range of fantastic cities to explore. Whether you’re a history buff, celebrating a special occasion or just having a top night out, we’re here to help you save money.

Jennifer, who works in social care in Staffordshire, has said she’d planned “a city break with the girls” at the end of the September while Jess, an NHS worker from Greater Manchester, said she’s “enjoyed using the IHG hotel discount to visit new places on a weekend - we’ve used it to stay in Milton Keynes and Newport so far!”

If you’re considering hitting the capital for a West End show or spot of shopping, why not check out our recent blog to see how you can maximise your day and save time and money?

Taking a trip somewhere hot?

Thunder and lightning might be exciting, but the novelty wears off quickly when you want to go out and it’s pouring it down… again!

Stacey, who also works within social care, told us: “It’s my birthday soon so I’m going kayaking and praying for nice weather.”

“My boyfriend has also booked us a holiday to Tenerife for 10 nights too. I haven’t been abroad since Covid Pandemic and my last holiday abroad was to Tenerife. I am soooo excited!”

Though it’s been a few months, in the run up to summer we gave you a heads up on some of our top savings on holidays and days out that will still help you save! Don’t forget though. We’re not only here to help you with the big things like flights and hotels; with Blue Light Card, you can save on the little things too! See what our members never travel without!
