1. Who we are
a. We are Blue Light Card Ltd, and our registered office address is at Charnwood Edge Business Park, Syston Road, Cossington, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, LE7 4UZ (referred to below as Blue Light Card, we, us or our).
b. We are a discount service provider for our members who are part of the NHS, emergency services, social care, teaching community and a range of other front-line roles. 2. The Prize Draw
a. These terms and conditions apply to the ‘Refer a Friend Prize Draw’ promoted by us (the Prize Draw). The Prize Draw offers entrants the chance of winning a £200 ‘Ultimate’ digital eGift Card from Motivates Inc. Ltd (Life:style) (the Prize). There will be five (5) identical Prizes available to be won.
b. By entering this Prize Draw, you agree to be unconditionally bound by these terms and conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material relating to this Prize Draw. A copy of these terms and conditions shall be available online on our website for the duration of the Prize Draw and for four (4) weeks after the closing date.
3. Eligibility
a. The Prize Draw is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, who are registered Blue Light Card members, except for our employees and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), their agents or any third party directly associated with the administration or
promotion of the Prize Draw (such eligible participants are referred to below as BLC Members).
b. The Prize Draw is free to enter for all BLC Members. No ticket or entry purchase of any kind is necessary to take part in the Prize Draw.
4. Entry and Winning
a. The Prize Draw is available to enter from our website and mobile application. To participate in the Prize Draw, a BLC Member must:
i. click on the ‘Refer a Friend’ link via either platform; and
ii. enter their BLC email address.
Once the above requirements are completed, a BLC Member will then receive a personal link (Personal Link) to share with individuals who work in Eligible Professions (Friends) via the Extole platform or an alternative method of their choosing (e.g. email). Each Personal Link is unique to each BLC Member and is used to track the referral.
b. A BLC Member will successfully qualify to be entered for the Prize Draw when a qualifying transaction takes place. A qualifying transaction occurs when a referred Friend clicks on the Personal Link received from the BLC Member and using their email address proceeds to successfully complete our sign-up journey to register as a new member. Each successful referral that joins and is approved as a ‘cardholder’ by us counts as 1 entry into the Prize Draw.
c. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in the Prize Draw between the opening date specified on the Prize Draw and 11:59pm (BST) on the closing
date specified on the Prize Draw promotional material (Entry Period). Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
d. The winners will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on 1 October 2025 (Draw Date).
e. The winners will be notified that they have won via the email address used to enter the referral program within two (2) working days of the Draw Date. The notification email will be delivered by communications@bluelightcard.co.uk.
f. The Prize will be sent to the winners from Motivates Inc. Limited (Life:style) via email within five (5) working days of the Draw Date.
5. The Prize
a. Each Prize will also be subject to its own individual set of exclusions and terms and conditions as set out by the relevant third-party provider of the Prize. Please check the terms and conditions on the Prize carefully for any limitations or validity periods for redemption. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend the validity period of any Prizes and will not be liable for expired Prizes or limitations imposed by a third-party supplier or merchants at the point of redemption.
b. The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is offered.
c. We reserve the right to replace the Prize with an alternative Prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
d. Our decision regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding.
6. Data Protection and Publicity
a. Please act responsibly when sharing the Personal Link. Only send this to Friends that you think would be genuinely interested and likely to be within an Eligible Profession and eligible to sign up to Blue Light Card. If you are unsure if someone would be interested, please do check with them before sharing the Personal Link.
b. We will collect and use your personal data as necessary to perform the Prize Draw and deliver the Prize to the winners. For more information about how we process your personal data, please see our Privacy Notice here.
c. We must publish or otherwise make available information that indicates a valid Prize Draw took place. To comply with this legal obligation, we may
publish on our webpage the surname and county of the winner, or winners where applicable. If you object to any or all of your details being published or made available, please contact us at: dpo@bluelightcard.co.uk. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority or any other regulator on request.
d. A winner may be asked to take part in publicity related to the Prize Draw. Such publicity might (upon request) include use of the winner(s) social media handle. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of entry or of Prize acceptance.
7. General
a. We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
b. If any provision(s) of these terms and conditions (or any part thereof) are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions (or any part of such provisions) will remain in full force and effect.
c. The Prize Draw, these terms and conditions and any dispute arising under or in connection with them, will be governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
