Renewals FAQs

How do I renew my Blue Light Card?

To renew, simply log in to your Blue Light Card account on the website or app, go to the 'Your Card' page, click on the "Renew" option, and complete the payment.

When should I renew my Blue Light Card?

You can begin your renewal up to 30 days before your current card expires.
Please note: Once you start, you’ll temporarily lose access to offers until your renewal is approved.

How long does the renewal take?

If you have everything ready, the process should only take around 10 minutes.

How do I update my details?

You’ll be asked to confirm or update your information — including name and job details — in the first step of your renewal.

What if I’ve retired since my last application?

You still may be eligible!
Visit the eligibility section to check you are eligible. During the renewal, update your employment status to ‘Retired’ so it matches your ID.

How long until I receive my new card?

Once approved, you'll regain access to offers from the next morning. Your physical card will arrive by post within 14 days.
