Why take part?

Becoming a local partner benefits everyone in our community. Local businesses like yours gain more visibility, attract new customers and increase sales, while frontline workers get access to exclusive discounts. A win-win with for everyone.

Getting started is quick and easy. Simply sign up to our Business Hub add your business details and create an offer (or two). You can add offers for Blue Light Card members and/or Defence Discount Service members. Your offer will then appear on the ‘Offers Near Me’ map in the member app, helping members that are local to your location, discover and visit your business.

You can also order free promotional merchandise, so members know you’re a proud local partner and feel encouraged to pop in and support your business.

Is your business eligible?

To take part, your business needs to meet a few criteria:

• You must be an independent local retailer with no more than four physical locations.
• To be eligible to list with Blue Light Card, your business must have a physical retail location where members can redeem an offer in person.
• Offers must be available and redeemable at the physical premises, where membership cards can be checked at the point of sale.
• Your listing must include an offer or discount specifically for our members. The same offer can’t be given to everyone who walks in but the offer can be the same you give to other defined groups e.g students or OAPs.
• We are unable to support online-only offers or businesses operating solely online.
• If your business also has an online store, you may choose to extend your offer online in addition to your in-store offer. We would encourage this where possible, and you can include wording on your listing such as: “Offer available in store and online.” Just make sure to explain how both options can be redeemed.
• The offer must be redeemable in person when customers show a valid member card, either physical or digital in the app.
• You can’t advertise credit or financing and we’re unable to accept offers related to gambling, tobacco or businesses regulated by the FCA or CQC.
