By using a Shopping Card, you can save up to 8% on your everyday shopping in store and online. Different retailers have different discounts, so it’s worth looking through the various offers.
Blue Light Card Shopping Cards do not have a fixed cost. Instead, you choose the value of the Shopping Card you want to buy and receive it at a discounted member price. For example, you might purchase a £100 Shopping Card for less than its face value, with the saving applied upfront.
The amount you can save varies by retailer, with some Shopping Cards offering discounts of up to 8%. Most Shopping Cards are available in a range of values, although minimum and maximum purchase amounts can vary depending on the retailer.
Once purchased, your Shopping Card can be used online, in store, or both, depending on the retailer’s terms and conditions.
Yes, Shopping Cards come with a 14-day cooling-off period. If you haven’t viewed the card yet, you may be eligible for a refund. Please contact our support team and they’ll be happy to help.
Shopping Cards must be used before their expiry date. Once expired, they can’t be redeemed or refunded — so it’s a good idea to check the date shown on your card.
Blue Light Card Shopping Cards work like prepaid gift cards. If you do not spend the full balance in one transaction, the remaining balance stays on the Shopping Card and can usually be used on future purchases until the balance is exhausted, subject to the retailer's terms and the card's expiry date.
For example, if you purchase a £100 Shopping Card and spend £35, you would typically have £65 remaining to use another time. You can continue using the card across multiple transactions until the balance reaches zero.
It's always worth checking the specific retailer's Shopping Card terms, as expiry periods and redemption rules can vary between brands. Most retailers allow partial redemption and ongoing use of any remaining balance.
