To become a Blue Light Card member, simply fill in your details and provide proof of eligibility, such as a pension statement. Our team will then notify you once your membership is approved and ready to use.

Select the Retired option from the list and tell us about your previous role.
Confirm your eligibility by uploading documents that show you’ve retired from an eligible service.

To join Blue Light Card, retired members will need to provide proof of retirement from an eligible profession. This may include:
• Proof of service pension, such as an NHS pension or a P60
• Private pension document (if above is not relevant/applicable)
• Proof of 4 years+ employment. This could be two payslips dated 4+ years apart
A Blue Light Card costs £4.99 for two years, giving you access to thousands of discounts both online and in-store.
Many Blue Light Card partners offer discounts and offers that can be used online and in-store. For details, check individual offer terms.
If you have already been verified in the same service and have held a Blue Light Card for four years or more, you can switch to a retired membership at your renewal date without any further or additional verification checks.
If these conditions don’t apply, you will need to re-verify with the relevant documents at your membership renewal date.
