As the weather takes a turn, finding things to do with the kids over the autumn months can be tricky. To make your planning easier, we've pulled together our top places to visit across the UK this season. Plus, with your Blue Light Card, you can make the most of these days out for less with some handy discounts!

1) Take a trip to a SEA LIFE Centre

With locations across the UK, visiting a SEA LIFE Centre is the perfect way to spend a rainy day with the kids. You can explore an incredible underwater world of sea creatures all whilst keeping dry on a showery day. All you need to do is prepare to get up close to glittering scales, humongous tentacles and razor-sharp teeth. Take a wonder through different habitats, from the sweltering tropics to tidal rock pools, and discover all about their weird and wonderful creatures with fun and interactive learning experiences.

Why not join in the spooky fun at an Ascarium: Tricks & Treats event this October. You will follow an immersive trail to help the witches and warlocks find ingredients for their magic potions. All while discovering some of the spookiest sea creatures as you go on an adventure, exploring an underwater world. This fun event is all included in your standard admission ticket too! Just remember to book your SEA LIFE Centre tickets using your Blue light Card as you will save on entry.

2) Play around at Kidspace Adventures

When the cold weather hits, indoor soft plays are a great way to spend your time at the weekend or over a half term. That’s why visiting one of the UK’s biggest soft plays is a great choice for an autumn family day out. Introducing: Kidspace Adventures. Located in Croydon and Romford, there are hours of fun awaiting you and your little ones. They can feel the thrill on the go-karting track, climb adventurous heights on the soft play and zoom down slides. All while the admission being easier on your wallet – thanks to the Kidspace Adventures discount with Blue Light Card.

3) See a blockbuster at the cinema

One great way to spend the cooler months and dark evenings is by taking a trip to your local cinema to see the latest releases. On the way to the big screen in October is Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Perfect for the little ones, they can immerse themselves in a world where Gabby's dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera. Gabby then sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together before it's too late. More of a Disney fan? Their anticipated Zootropolis 2 drops at the end of November where we see detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde take on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who turns the mammal metropolis of Zootopia upside down.

And we couldn’t mention going to the cinema this autumn without mentioning Wicked: For Good. Following on from last year, we see Elphaba, now demonised as the Wicked Witch of the West, live in exile in the Ozian forest, whilst Glinda resides at the palace in Emerald City, revelling in the perks of fame and popularity. With your Blue Light Card, you can get discounted cinema tickets at a variety of chains, including Odeon, Vue and Cineworld. Search for your local cinema in our app and take a look at what we have to offer. Not only is there some handy discounts on tickets, but great savings on those expensive cinema snacks too!
