Blue Light Card Shopping Cards work like prepaid gift cards. If you do not spend the full balance in one transaction, the remaining balance stays on the Shopping Card and can usually be used on future purchases until the balance is exhausted, subject to the retailer's terms and the card's expiry date.
For example, if you purchase a £100 Shopping Card and spend £35, you would typically have £65 remaining to use another time. You can continue using the card across multiple transactions until the balance reaches zero.
It's always worth checking the specific retailer's Shopping Card terms, as expiry periods and redemption rules can vary between brands. Most retailers allow partial redemption and ongoing use of any remaining balance.
